Former Auburn Football Coach Pat Dye Keynotes Boy Scouts Breakfast in Alabama

The Greater Alabama Council of the Boy Scouts of America is set to hold their 2017 American Values Breakfast tomorrow. They have pulled a sports legend from the state to speak.

Former Auburn football coach Pat Dye is the keynote speaker. The event will be held from 7:30-9:00 a.m. at First Methodist Church of Sylacauga.

Individual tickets are $50. It should be a great event to hear from a college football icon about some of his principles and methods.

Dye is best known for his run coaching the Tigers from 1981-1992. He won four Southeastern Conference titles and was a three-time SEC Coach of the Year.

Dye led Auburn to five top ten finishes and was also athletic director for nearly his entire tenure as coach. He also coached the 1985 Heisman Trophy winner, Bo Jackson

Prior to arriving at the school, Dye spent one season as the head coach at Wyoming and six years at East Carolina. In 2005, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.
