English Soccer Legend John Barnes Speaks at Artie White Foundation Sports Dinner Next Month

As a beloved former English soccer star, John Barnes is a popular speaker across the U.K.  On September 30th, he will speak at the 19th annual Artie White Foundation Sports Dinner.

The dinner is being held in Grimsby, England at The Humber Royal at 7 p.m. It raises money for several charitable causes in North East Lincolnshire. 

There are 250 tickets available to the event and three-course dinner that is nearing a sellout.  Since the Artie White Foundation started 20 years ago, they have raised over 750,000 euros. 

Barnes played the majority of his lengthy pro career for Watford and Liverpool.  He spent over a decade with the later, scoring 106 goals in 403 matches. 

With Liverpool, Barnes won two First Division and two FA Cup titles.  He was voted the PFA Players' Player of the Year twice. 

FourFourTwo magazine has named Barnes the greatest player in Liverpool history.  In 2005, he was inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame.
