One Detroit-area upstart was eager to partner with one of the Tigers rising stars.  Catcher James McCann now is the face of the dress shirt company, Lawrence Hunt. 

McCann signed a three-year endorsement deal with the brand that was started in 2014 in the suburb of Royal Oak.  Lawrence Hunt produces a sweat-wicking dress shirt that seems perfectly made for the active lifestyle. 

As part of the deal, McCann received a small equity stake in the company.  He will be featured in their marketing campaign, "Keeping cool under pressure".  

McCann has had some unique things occur at the start of his career.  He boasted a record 139 game errorless streak at catcher to start his career, the longest for any backstop in major league history. 

With 112 errorless games behind the plate in 2015, McCann became just the sixth catcher ever to play over 100 games in season without committing an error.  In addition, he was the first player since 1932 to begin his career with his first three home runs being an inside-the-park homer followed by two walk-off shots.  

McCann originally made his debut with the Tigers as a September call-up in 2014.  He was a second round pick in the 2011 MLB Draft out of the University of Arkansas.
