Detroit Tigers Outfielder Mikie Mahtook Holds Comerica Field Autograph Signing

Detroit Tigers outfielder Mikie Mahtook made some of the team's fans very happy on Saturday. He held an autograph signing at The D Shop at Comerica Park.

From 1-2 p.m., Tigers supporters got to meet Mahtook and had their autographs authenticated by Major League Baseball. All signatures cost $30 and inscriptions were $15.

A portion of the proceeds went to the Detroit Tigers Foundation. There was free parking available in lots 1 and 2 at Comerica Park.

Mahtook has appeared in 97 games in his first Tigers season and he is currently batting .275 with ten home runs and 30 RBI. He was acquired in a trade with the Tampa Bay Rays before the season.

Mahtook originally made his debut with the Rays in 2015. A year after being selected in the first round of the MLB Draft in 2011, Mahtook was named one of baseball's top 100 prospects by MLB.com.

Mahtook was part of the 2009 College World Series champions at Louisiana State University. He was named a Baseball America first-team All-American as a junior after leading the Southeastern Conference in batting average and on-base percentage in league play.
