Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond is partnering with an iconic Michigan chain. He is the first-ever brand ambassador for the Flint-based Halo Burger. 

Drummond will promote the brand and also take part in several community initiatives. This spring, Halo Burger will also unveil a signature burger for the basketball star. 

There will be several upcoming charity events and appearances that Drummond participates in for Halo Burger. The chain currently consists of 11 restaurants throughout Michigan. 

Drummond had a breakthrough season last year, leading the NBA in rebounding and being selected to his first All-Star game. He also led the Pistons to the first postseason appearance of his career. 

In addition, Drummond was named to the All-NBA Third Team. Detroit originally drafted their franchise centerpiece with the ninth pick in the 2012 NBA Draft. 

Drummond played one season at the University of Connecticut, averaging ten points and 7.6 rebounds per game. ESPN ranked him as the top overall prospect in the Class of 2011.
