Denver Broncos Head Coach Vance Joseph Keynotes Salute to the Stars Luncheon

Despite John Lynch's new position with the San Francisco 49ers, his foundation is still doing great work in the Denver community. On Friday, the Salute to the Stars luncheon took place for the 19th year.

New Denver Broncos head coach Vance Joseph was the keynote speaker. For the 12th straight year, it was held at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium.

This year, the John Lynch Foundation handed out $188,000 in scholarship money. Joseph talked about some of his philosophies for success and said that it is important to keep setting new goals.

Joseph was named Broncos coach in January. He spent the 2016 season with the Miami Dolphins as their defensive coordinator and helped the franchise return to the playoffs.

In 2005, Joseph made his NFL coaching debut as an assistant defensive backs coach with the San Francisco 49ers. He also spent time coaching defensive backs with the Houston Texans and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Joseph got his coaching start as a graduate assistant at his alma mater, Colorado. He had tenures at Wyoming and Bowling Green before going to the NFL.
