On Monday, Cowboys’ quarterback Tony Romo will be making a special appearance in Dallas on the SMU campus. Romo will be in attendance from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Gerald J. Ford Stadium on behalf of the protein drink Core Power.
Along with Mustangs head football coach Chad Morris and Core Power’s #EverydayAwesome athlete Blake Leeper, he will participate in a panel discussion and press conference. In addition, Romo will be presenting a check donated by Core Power to the Boys and Girls Club.
Romo became an endorser for the protein shake company this March. He is also known for a long-term partnership with the apparel brand, Starter.
In 2014, Romo had one of his best seasons leading NFL in passer rating and taking the Cowboys back to the postseason for the first time since 2009. He has been to four Pro Bowls and holds Dallas records for career passing yards and touchdowns.
Many are unaware that Romo is one of the most clutch quarterbacks of all-time and has the NFL record for the highest QB rating in the fourth quarter. He is one of the most successful players in the league today despite originally being an undrafted free agent out of Eastern Illinois.
