Cleveland Cavaliers General Manager Koby Altman Speaks at Park Synagogue Men’s Club Next Month

Cleveland Cavaliers General Manager Koby Altman has wasted no time making his presence known. He will talk about the challenges of his job as the featured speaker at the Park Synagogue Men's Club Sports Night and Steak Dinner.

The event takes place on December 13th at Park Synagogue East in Pepper Park, Ohio. The synagogue looks for a noted sports celebrity each year and Altman being Jewish was an added benefit.

Individual tickets are $48 for members and their families and $54 for nonmembers. ESPN Cleveland host Aaron Goldhammer is going to moderate the conversation with Altman.

Altman was named the Cavaliers general manager this summer and proceeded to orchestrate a blockbuster trade that netted All-Star point guard Isaiah Thomas. He spent the 2016-17 season as the team's assistant general manager.

Altman was the director of pro personnel in 2016 when Cleveland won the NBA championship. He has worked with the organization in various capacities since 2012.

Altman got his start working in basketball as a college assistant at Amherst, Southern Illinois and Columbia. He was a three-year starting point guard at Middlebury College.
