Perhaps no more iconic figure in Peach State sports history than Chipper Jones, the retired and revered baseball player widely regarded as one of the greatest third basemen in MLB history.
Nicknamed "Chipper" from childhood as a "chip off the old block," he was selected first overall by the Atlanta Braves in the 1990 MLB Draft. He spent his entire 19-year career (1993–2012) with the Braves, becoming a franchise icon. A switch-hitter known for elite consistency, Jones compiled a .303 career batting average, 2,726 hits, 468 home runs, and 1,623 RBIs. He earned eight All-Star selections, the 1999 National League MVP Award, two Silver Slugger Awards, and led the NL in batting average (.364) in 2008. He contributed to Atlanta's 1995 World Series championship.

Jones suffered two anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears in his left knee during his career, including one that cost him an entire season. Each time, he returned to the field and played competitively, a testament to the determination that defined his career. “That’s not just resilience, it’s legendary,” adds Morrow.
At a time when many operators are navigating economic and operational challenges, Jones’ perspective on leadership, discipline, and perseverance offers timely lessons for business owners looking to stay competitive and focused. The Braves retired his No. 10 jersey in 2013. In 2018, Jones was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame on his first ballot with 97.2% of the vote, one of the highest percentages ever. He remains a beloved figure in Atlanta sports history.
MSM’s THE Show, presented by Janus International, will reimagine the entire conference and tradeshow experience with elevated learning sessions and evening events. It’s also doing things differently by opening the keynotes to all attendees. “Some conferences only allow VIPs at celebrity keynotes,” adds Poppy Behrens, MSM Publisher. “While VIPs can attend an exclusive meet and greet with Chipper, all attendees can attend the keynote. We don’t want anyone going to THE Show to miss out on these important speaking engagements.”
