Baltimore Orioles Manager Buck Showalter Keynotes Dr. Don Phillips Athletics Dinner Next Month

Mississippi College is welcoming one of baseball's best managers to campus next month. Buck Showalter will keynote the Dr. Don Phillips Athletics Dinner.

The event will be held on November 9th at 6 p.m. at the Anderson Hall on campus. Proceeds raised will benefit the 17 intercollegiate athletics programs sponsored by Mississippi College.

Showalter has also been the manager of the New York Yankees, Arizona Diamondbacks and Texas Rangers. He holds the unique distinction of building two teams that won the World Series the year after he left.

Showalter is a three-time American League Manager of the Year. He began his managerial career in the Yankees' system and was Baseball America's 1989 Minor League Manager of the Year.
