Arizona Diamondbacks Pitcher Archie Bradley Keynotes ORU Diamond Dinner

Just before reporting for Spring Training, Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Archie Bradley made an important appearance in his home state of Oklahoma. He was the keynote speaker at Oral Roberts University's Diamond Dinner.

On Friday, Bradley was in front of a large crowd at the Glenpool Conference Center in Tulsa. He spoke about the unique experience he enjoyed earlier in the week, getting to play at TPC Scottsdale in the Phoenix Open Pro-Am.

Bradley was also able to talk about his outlook on the 2017 season and memories from standout prep career at Broken Arrow Senior High School. The dinner benefited ORU's baseball program.

After going 12-1 and leading Broken Arrow to the Class 6A state championship as a senior, the Diamondbacks made Bradley the seventh overall pick of the 2011 MLB Draft. He was touted as one of baseball's top prospects and made the Opening Day roster in 2015.

In Bradley's first career start, he outdueled reigning National League Cy Young and Most Valuable Player, Clayton Kershaw. His six-inning shutout performance set the tone for Arizona's 6-0 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Just weeks later, Bradley would suffer an injury that sidelined him when he took a line drive to the face in a game against the Colorado Rockies. He returned to pitch a full season last year, going 8-9 with a 5.02 ERA in 26 starts.
